Sherlock is half blown up, lying in a hospital bed with machines attached.
Mycroft moves purposefully down the hallway and into the room as soon as he hears, as soon as he can make it there.

He also had about twenty weapons concealed on various parts of his body.
Sebastian is not as good at fooling people as Jim.
"Who're you? I told the doctors, we don't want-"
no subject
"I might ask you the same thing."
no subject
Gruffly. He slides his hands in his pockets, staring evenly at Mycroft. He knows what that look means, and he isn't afraid of it.
no subject
He informs him, icily.
"You have three seconds to convince me not to disarm and kill you, officer."
no subject
Not that Jim ever told him everything anyway.
"Other than telling you that either of those things are next to impossible? Not a whole lot of convincing needed."
no subject
Steadily. But he moves to read Sherlock's chart in the mean time.
"Inform your boss that I require answers."
no subject
Sternly.
"I don't care if you know my mother's maiden name by my pinky finger, your sort of logic doesn't scare me."
no subject
He informs him, not looking up.
"My logic isn't what should frighten you."
no subject
"I've got orders not to let anyone linger in this room. I'm afraid you're lingering."
no subject
He informs him. Fair warning.
no subject
"Brother. Well. Can't disobey orders, I'm afraid. I've known more than one man who'd disconnect his brother's life support."
no subject
Turning to face him.
"Try me. Or else, phone James and get his permission to leave me, if you don't care for a dislocated shoulder."
no subject
"You don't-"
And his phone vibrates in his pocket, and Sebastian curses, taking a step back and fishing it out, never taking his eyes off of Mycroft. He only shifts his gaze for a split second to read the text, before taking a step back and putting his phone away.
"...'m afraid there's been a bit of a misunderstanding, mister Holmes."
no subject
He informs him, utterly mildly, where Sherlock or Jim might take the opportunity to mock furiously for being ordinary.
"Who in the family were you pretending to be?"
no subject
"Cousin. I've got papers."
no subject
Brushing Sherlock's curls back off his face.
"You needn't concern yourself for much longer."
no subject
"Been sitting here for hours already. Boring. Wish you were an assassin, really."
no subject
He orders, lifting the blanket up to assess the worse of the damage personally.
no subject
"I don't take orders from you."
no subject
It isn't one.
no subject
His eyes are slightly narrowed.
no subject
He murmurs, staring him right in the eye.
"He is my family."
no subject
Levelly.
"I don't talk about my boss unless he tells me to."
no subject
Pulling his phone out, since neither of them is going to leave, obviously.
