It's the hotel, sort of.  A bit of a blur of many worlds.  That hotel room where Al and Barma go to the S&M club... if Ryo wanders in there alone, he'll meet all sorts of new people.

"Tell me about yourself, Ryo. How do you play? What do you like?"

"I'm usually a bottom."

He tries to remember Break's word for it.

"A heavy bottom? And there's not much I don't like. Psychological things are really nice. I like bruises. Uhm, what about you?"

He explains, though that's evident.

"I like domination play."

"Like, giving orders, or collars?"

He's intrigued.

"Orders, mostly. A dotting of humiliation play here and there."

He explains.

"It would be largely about putting on a show for her, if you're comfortable with that."

He smiles and nods.

"I like humiliation play. If she wants to watch, I don't mind an audience."

"Do you have any hard limits, or preexisting injuries?"

Tilting his head.

"Just don't kill me."

He laughs, so it won't seem strange.

"I have a bad knee. This one. I smoke a lot--some people get really worried about that, if we're doing breath play."

Mycroft's eyebrows simply arch. He doesn't take it as a joke.

"I need to trust that you will safeword, Ryo."

He smiles faintly.

"I will, sir. My word is 'icicle'. I've used it before."

Just once before, but it had proven to him that he could use it, and it would work.

"What else, then, am I not to do? Other than killing you."

Curious.

He worries his lower lip a moment.

"Don't kiss me on the mouth. Does that--is that weird?"

"I shouldn't presume to touch you sexually, hardly knowing you."

After all.

"In this place, most people just assume you're there to have sex."

He explains, but also warns. A lot of newcomers find that out in, at best, uncomfortable situations.

"Well, I intend to make no such assumptions."

He informs him, serenely.

He smiles, leaning forward a little, eager at the idea of pure play. He enjoys sex, of course. Especially with the partners he's closest to. But it also distracts from the rest of the experience.

"What sort of humiliation play do you like, sir?"

"Emphasis on service and submission, usually."

Confessing, thoughtfully.

"Tests of self-discipline."

"I've never done service."

Not really, anyway, nothing that would normally be thought of.

"I like self-discipline tests, though. Once, someone sat me on my knees against a wall and told me to stay until they came back. They were gone for hours."

Maybe hours. It had felt like it.

"And did you like that part?"

Curious.

"The pain of the uncertainty?"

"Very much."

He says it so quietly the music of the club drowns it out, so he clears his throat and repeats himself a little louder.

"I like not knowing what someone is going to do next. Or how far they'll take it. But- I mean, my usual partner...I promised him I'd be safe about it. So it's hard to find the right balance."

He reads the words on his mouth, all the same.

"I think that makes perfect sense."

Nodding, reassuring him.

"Would you like to see how compatible we are?"

"Very much, I would like that, sir, I have a hunch about it-"

Ryo smiles demurely at him.

"Where do you want me?"

"Is a more private corner all right?"

Tilting his head, curiously.

[moderndayghost]

He nods, looks around, and motions at one that's mostly cushions, a sofa, and dim lighting. No one is near it, perhaps preferring the drinks, the dancing, or the better lit areas.

"This way."

Smiling, offering him is arm.
